    Auction at Andy's . . .

On Nov 7th, we held our ZNA SoCal Auction at Andy Moo's which allowed us to move on several koi and inspect Andy's Fall shipment of koi just in from Japan (even if they were still under wraps and in QT).

Other Bito members I remember being in attendance were Junichi Kayano (Super Kindai), Richard Renshaw (Rickshaw), Louie Hernandez (Louie) and Barbara Brooks (Aussie5).

First the Auction pix, then some bad pix of Andy's very nice shipment.

Now for some pix of Andy's fish. Nisai and Sansai. I remember breeders Isa, Marudoh, Hiroi, Hoshikin and Ogata -- there might have been others, too.

Nice pictures Koi Cop. Interesting how the koi are left in bags at this auction. At our club's auction we unbag, bid, then rebag each one.

Also, looks like you have several shots of the Isa showa I have swimming around in my QT tank.

Don't have any numbers for this or previous years, but I would say it was successful.

There's the time savings for the club -- and then there's the bio-security issue for the buyers. Win-win IMHO.

A serious fish, Steve; too bad my pix don't do it justice. Congrats!

I liked it a lot, but in the end I went with a kindai in the same lot from Isa (plus a couple of other quarrantine mates, too).

    Best wishes,
