    Dainichi Kohaku

This is the second koi I got this year. Still a nisai, but the last of the Rikidozan bloodline. The body is amazing and what made me buy her was that Shigeru told me this koi has their true Dainichi Red, Junichi told me this kind of beni is known as "Pink Beni". I was told by Shigeru this kind of beni is really hard to make, although the video doesn't show it clearly I will try to repost when she comes over.

I hope not, because this will be a very expensive meal to swallow.

a very special koi for many reasons. great body, coloration, kiwa, sashi, and i like the pattern. When she comes into her size, will be hard to beat.
    thanks for sharing.

A few decades back, in our travel group to Japan, a certain canadian loved to tease me while visiting Dainichi by calling Shegeru,.... "sugar-roo"
he knew it bothered me. I'd correct him and he'd mispronounce it again, just to get my reaction. Love the memories....

Awesome looking Kohaku. As already said... she glows!

How come my koi don't just paddle around peacefully in a bowl? They're always looking for the "leap" opportunity. Must have a concrete fixation or something...

Great grab. Can't wait for the updates.
