    'Bounce' from Baking Soda

    Hey Steve

You have used this term a few times recently, but have not really explained the concept and I am sure some have read straight past it and not fully understood when you mean.

    Hi Bradley,
Bounce is a term I use to describe large, immediate changes to the water chemistry...typically in relation to Baking Soda. As I know you are aware, movng Ph as an example from let's say 7.3 to 8.3 (typical rise level for BS) is not really a 1 point increase per se, but the Ph scale is logrythmic meaning that 8.3 is 10 times more "basic" than 7.3. This is a huge, immediate change for a koi to endure.
