    Contenders All Japan Show

Just saw Mark Gardner's blog about Danny's Koi Cafes entry into the All Japan Show being one of the favorites for the GC title. I then skipped over to Vimeo, a high resolution video site to see some of the uploaded movies from Koisaneurope. Unfortunately, ripples on the surface of the pond made for less than optimal viewing, but the beauty and massive size were more than evident.Mark has some particulars about the individual koi at his blog Niigata-Nishikigoi.com
You can click the address below to go to one of the videos (there are three) or go to Vimeo and search koisaneurope. More tech savvy individuals may be able to imbed into a reply to this thread.
    Enjoy!!

For those that don't know Mark has put up photos of 19 of the 90 bu entrants to the All Japan show on his blog.

    Personally, I love 477, then 191,480,201.
    Looking forward to results!
Mark is supposed to post video of the entrants as they're brought in tomorrow.

There are two kohaku , you need to pick the right one! LOLs, being here and seeing them in the flesh is very telling! ONE is far better!

Many famous koi here this year- some big guns/gals brought out of retirement to make things interesting. But youth tends to win out---- as long as those `new comers` are battleships!

Big fish usually win. But it`s not because they are longer or `fatter`. Nope, some of these truly remarkable super fish just dissappear in the presence of giant jumbos ( is that an Oxymon?) LOLs

Saw Mark G and Anthony from San Fran so far. And Sakai ( Toshio) my bud the Rinko photographer and Danny from Holland/Belgium. They are really starting to roll in now! Having a great time, JR

I did not listen to the video...I wanted to pick without hearing commentary. I picked kohaku 480 as my winner. It just reminds me of the Sakai 4-step that won years ago. A real favorite of mine. 2nd place was very tough. I went with sanke 201..the conformation is like a battleship!! Third place...kohaku 484.
    So...480, 201, 484.
Keep us up to date JR!!! Good thing you are not here in yet, another..northeast blizzard!!!
