    it is known as Dainichi Zakura (Dainichi Cherry blossom) as a nickname.

    How old is that fish, Junichi? Someone said 6-7, but the fish in person looks older, maybe 9-10? JR

    I don't know exactly Jim, but that fish could be 7 or maybe 8.....

    According to an interview article of Mano's farther, that fish started showing extraordinary potential at 4. he introduced it to his customers but nobody bought it.
    he had no choice, it put back to a mud pond for 3 years. after that, the sanke came up from a mud pond by that appearance.

    well, the head shows age but the color and kiwa is still remarkable. JR

    My data shows it to have been 22 years old when it won GC in 1993?
