    And the winner is . . .

If you were gunning for a Baby Champion at next week's koi show, you might choose one of these high quality tosai from SFF.

Assume they're all right up against the 10" size limit and cost was not a factor.

Sure, we're evaluating photos (not fish), but:

Which one would you choose for today?

Which one would you choose to grow on for a shot at next year's Young Champion award?

    Best wishes,

Cute fish.......for BC I'd choose one of the Kohakus, probably the one on the right. I like its body better and I love the pattern. It's hi might be a bit better but it's a pic???

For YC next year I'd choose the Sanke in the middle..let that sumi come up a bit more and the sashi to firm up a bit.

BTW I had a kohaku that I bought last year at CFKS take the YC award this year

BC: far right kohaku, better shiroji and pattern looks clean enough

YC: left sanke (if the sumi finishes), otherwise, the far righ kohaku again. body will only get better and pattern is still important at this stage.

I pick kohaku 5 as the winner. My order would be 5,1,3,2,4.

Have to agree with the rest - kohaku on the far right. I like the sanke in the centre too.

For the year after I think the same kohaku might still be the best bet. I'd think after that his sisters might overtake him though!

I'd buy a male from the $20 tank and beat all of them...but I suppose if I was limited to these 5 I'd go with number 5 for now and 1 for later.

I was thinking the same thing for BC
The 1st Sanke does have a nice frame at this size/age and could have a serious shot at YC next time around with a nice finish and well balanced pattern distribution.
