    5 step kohaku, 47 cm

Bowled her to inspect before summer growth. She is filling in nicely, isn't she?

Richard told me that this one has dainichi and matsunosuke parents.

Looking solid to begin the growing season. Shiroji is everything we've come to expect from Richard, beni looks nice, and the pattern is nicely laid out. The frame looks to have good growth potential to push toward 30" within a few years if my read is correct. What are your expectations for this season?

I would think that 22" by fall is possible, especially considering I have cut my fish load in half and am feeding the best food I can get my hands on this year.

I really like the body you're putting on her Ethan. And as Larry stated, the shiroji is incredible.

I'm a little concerned about the stability of the beni due to some feathering of the kiwa but I'm not familiar with how Richard's koi develop.

Ethan, some really nice kohaku you have. What are you feeding this year and who was the breeder?

I started off with feeding Tomigai, and am now feeding Kenzen. Temperatures of the pond have fluctuated quite a bit between 60 and 72 degrees over the last month, but now are at 72 and should stay there and above for the duration of the summer.

THe breeder is Richard ROmbold of SJ Koi in California.
