it will be like an Australian expeirence.
trying to raise a GC through your own culling and growing.

choose wisely as when i see some pictures of koi that win as adults i more then likely would have added to the bait pile when young.

They hatched and I see tons of fry. Many black ones...so, that is a good sign. Culling them should be a blast I will be feeding Daphnia, baby brine shrimp and HBH fry powder. I am actually doing my first water change as well...the whole house was smelling like a fish market I am doing the water change by pumping out 300gph with a small pump...while running a hose pumping the same amount in. Threw in plenty of dechlor and will run this for hours. Gotta get rid of that smell!!!!

I'm a little late to this but FWIW, I brought home eggs from a friend's house in a bag with no oxygen. It was a 10 hour trip. I didn't have that many eggs the majority hatched. That was about 7 years ago. I still have the 1 I decided to keep, a very large and dark Chagoi.

A friend considering the purchase of fertilized eggs was wondering how it would work (and from whom better quality might be available), so bumping this up.

I suspect some Aussies know a good deal about this, but won't be talking about it.
