It has been a while, but I always enjoyed going to California Koi Farm in Fallbrook.

BTW: The best place to ask this question is at a Koi Club of San Diego meeting plus their club newsletter has many dealer ads.

I am not sure that there is a whole lot in the county (I live in Lemon Grove).

For equipment and supplies (pretty small selection of fish), San Diego Pond & Garden comes to mind; then there is M&S Pond.....both of these are in Poway. There was -- until very recently -- a place in Carlsbad, but it just closed down.

For fish, the pickings are a bit slim locally. The Fallbrook location was already mentioned, and Barstow Koi Farms -- although a couple of hours drive -- has a lot of fish, but now we are talking some distance (and there are more towards Los Angeles).

Those are the ones that come to mind. I am sure others will weigh-in as well....

Not San Diego but there is eastern nishigoi in westminister which I think was the same koi place that my father took me to in the early 1970's.

When I worked in carson I needed fish food I googled and found a place about six blocks away Torrance california on 190the street there is a seller Ashi or something similar it had the nicest looking koi that I have ever seen 'for sale' if you are looking for quality livestock I would start there.

Both places are quite a drive from San Diego so I would contact them first.
