    Question Grow Out Competition Toronto

Any Canadian members interested in Koi grow out competition based out of Toronto, Canada?
Trying to ignite some interest in the Canadian koi seen, Toronto has very few quality dealers, zero koi clubs, zero shows. Have a dealer who would be willing to secure koi for grow out competiition (Mid May 2012), and who is willing to put a panel together to judge. We have discussed basic grow out rules/conditions, however as of now still just an idea and not a reality.

So far discussed bringing in 10 inch showa tosai. Would like to gauge interest before he secures a number of fish from Japanese farm.

Any suggestions in regards to rules, farm to secure stock from, possible prizes, anything really. Something new so all suggestions appreciated.
    Thanks

Rather than starting with a koi grow out it would be wiser to first start
a club. I would be willing to help you during the winter months when I am back home in Brooklin ON.
So why not get lists of names and arrange a meeting to form a club.
As far as suggestions go I could give you a lot of idears. I have been keeping koi for 20 years, have ponds in my greenhouse over 15,000 gal
as well as a mud pond in my garden.
I would be happy to have the meeting at my house and could also show
you my week stay at The Momotaro Koi farm.
You can reach me [email protected] or phone me at 905 655 3939
    Regards
    Eugene
