    ERIC Filtration

    Hi all

My name is Anton Evatt based in the UK, I'm new to this forum and was wanting your thoughts on something.
I work for the Japanese Koi Company, and after having a meeting with Peter Waddington this week have decided to ditribute his Endless River system. I was wanting to know if anyone has any practical experience with these units, I asked the same question on a forum over here and there was an incredible amount of opinion, in fact it got a little heated

    Thanks for your help

    Kind regards

    Anton

You should do a search here and you will find that it gets heated here as well

I never did figure out what is new about a filter system made of a string of chambers, or one long one, with matting cartridges/stacks. Sounds very traditional to me. The "in concrete" strikes me as neither here nor there.

For me what was 'new' was seeing for the first time was the way the J-mat was stacked.

Looks like Jmat stacks from the 20 years ago.

For me it was 15 years ago. Koi Kichi by Peter Waddington.

Nobody said that this was new yesterday.

I believe the system is an adequate one and that the purveyor brings the "Heated" to the discussions

    Anton,

The ERIC system is going to work just fine, provided it is properly set-up and maintained on a reasonably-stocked pond. This point is true of any pond filtration system.

Where the "controversy" is going to come into play are surrounding any claims that ALL OTHER filters are vastly inferior, and other such hyperbolic and un-founded statements.

Assuming that you are knowledgable in Koi and pond-associated water chemistry, these points should be pretty obvious to you.

Best of luck with your endeavors,

    Paul
