    new koi with huge gut

I bought a new koi and it has a giant saging gut i think it is full uf eggs. She was quarantened for 3 weeks then i put her in the 1200 gallon indoor pond in my basement water temp 68f and i thought that they would spawn. Its been a week and still nothing all the fish are happy but im scared that if this fish doesnt spawn it will get eggbound. Is there anything i can do to entice them th spawn this time of year. I should have took a pic when i transfered her to show u but i never and i dont want to put her through the stress of catching her. THANKS for any advice

Spawning probably isn't going to do much if the Koi looks anything like you are describing.

Some call that Pigeon Breast and is a Frame issue more then just a lot of eggs.

The koi is about 18 inches with a giant body, i have other koi the same length but are only about half the weight. I took some pics while the koi was in the water but cant figure out how to put them up.

    I have seen worse.

By worse, I mean "saging gut".

    I agree,

I've seen several Koi that are Long-Fins have this issue.

It still could be eggs but just within normal limits. Do not worry if spawns or not. She could benefit from a fast???

How about this for a saggy butt. She has had this condition for three years and each year it gets bigger. I thought she was egg bound for the longest time. She is 23-24" long.
