Here's the first of my pictorial offerings.

a classic Ai Goromo, bought in the early 90's (circa 93 or 94).

    Breeder unknown.

I've never seen light blue robing like it again.

....and my second is a Goshiki

Bred by Maruju. Photo taken when Nissai.

Robing on the hi and shiroji is crisp.

The downside of this koi is the red irisis on the eyes.

In the UK Goshiki never used to be benched as Koromo but in Kawarimono. Now the BKKS classifications place them together.

I think i'm right in saying ZNA show rules place Goshiki in own class. :?: :?: :?:

Pic below of a Momotaro Goshiki purchased on our Nov visit, it's still there at the moment due to some damage to the tail. Will see it again in a month or 2.

This is the female Momotaro Goshiki Parent, previously ZNA All Japan 75bu prize winner.

OK now that I've got my breath back............You guys have some of the most beautiful koromo/goshiki I've seen in a long while! Thank you very much!

HOWEVER...definitely do not send any to Mark in Florida! All that bright sun will fade 'em out and ruin them! I'd be willing to take them here in the tranquel "gently misty", dim Pacific Northwest if any need to pass them on to someone else. :smt003 :smt003 :smt003

Bob: How many of your children did you have to give up for that fish?? Wanna trade for a few back???

Thanks for the kind comments Paul and Aldonna

Isawa Sakai had several smaller ones that would likely approach this one as they grew and others even nicer and bigger, that were alot more $. Mine was bought at the Sakai Auction, so the price may have been skewed a bit. But I do not think so. I suppose the price is all relative, as it was worth it to us. A few years ago, I would have been shot for spending that much on one koi. :smt054
