1st Rinyukai Indonesia - Super Koi Show 2012

    A short brief...

A year ago, after sending some kois to participate the 4th Asia Cup Koi Show on 21&22 May 2011, Felix Denanta feel so much fun and his heart was touched by the hospitality and warm welcome of all koi hobbyists from local Malaysia, Singapore, some Indonesia folks and also the show committee.

That was the first big major prize for him as he got GC that time with his Pandora. Afterwards, he took some major prizes too in some major koi shows. And recently, he got RGC at the 43th All Japan Combined Nishikigoi Show 2012 with a kohaku from Sakai Fish Farm.

As he came back home from Malaysia that time, he was triggered to do something for the kois world, something that could bond the relationship, either hobbyists, dealers, or koi lovers. He intensely made communications onto some koi sifus at local and Japan. The koi club he interested to jump in is the Zen Nihon Rinyukai, which as long as we know is one of the largest and oldest club in Japan. At last he made it as he appointed formally as the chairman of Riyunkai Indonesia and Hendrawan Sudarpo as Vice Chairman. Hendrawan Sudarpo is one of heavyweight class hobbyist also. This appointment will be the 1st formal appointed Rinyukai club outside of Japan.

Now he would like to share the fruit of all his hard willing and work to all of you. We share the joy, the togetherness, and the friendship through scales. And here is the invitation for all of you :

Next 27 February 2012 will be the launching day of Rinyukai Indonesia club. And we invite all of you who could come at that time. Free lunch, snacks, free flow drinking, wine, beers, you name it will be served.

As the first program, Rinyukai Indonesia would like to invite all of you to join the "1st Rinyukai Indonesia Super Koi Show 2012" on 15-17 June 2012

This show will offer something different and unlike the former shows before i.e. the show location is on the major international site at the center of Jakarta city (Jakarta HIlton Convention Centre) and .... with a car as a door prize.

The show is open for all contenders including overseas. Worry about the handling? No worries, we'll be back up by some professional handler directly from Japan, such as Sakai Fish Farm and some big dealers too.

Last but not least...to make this show different, please pop up your ideas...any kind of it...and let's we share the joy and the friendship and make this show a super show ever together

I had one question....Is this Rinyukai the same like the Rinyukai in Japan? I have always wondered about starting a Rinyukai Koi Club before.

    Hi Tony,

Yes, this is a formal club of Zen Nihon Rinyukai of Japan and the letter of appointment signed by Shigekatsu Takahashi himself.

yes, the old Tokyo dome show put on by the Tokyo chapter ( I thought it was the only chapter?) and Sakai was the backer. Nice little show. used to happen around the time of the big All Japan Shinkokai show and you visit both in that week.

Koz Takada used to bring his customers over and as part of the visit they could judge in the show. The Hesters were judges of that show in the mid 1990s after Mrs. Hester became an AKCA trainee at the time.

If I remember my history, I think the late Mr Sakai helped form that chapter with a wealthy Tokyo businessman in the late 1980s?
Am I right on that Monscine? JR

    JR,

Frankly speaking I'm not really sure about it myself. Do you mean by chapter was the embrio of the Rinyukai?

Hi, yes, the old Rinyukai traditionally had its annual show ( the only show actually that I'm aware of) at the Tokyo dome around the same time as the big All Japan show. I one when over with Toshio Sakai to see the entries and have lunch. I also would go over to it in my video camera days and film it. ( I have no idea what to do with at least 200 hours of video of koi shows, dealer facilities , fishing holes, bull fights etc! LOLs
At any rate, I was under the impression as told by some of the Brit dealers that it was formed after a group of customers from SFF broke away from ZNA to form a competing group but taht it never really got off the ground? Or maybe they were separate organizations from the beginning? Not sure as I didn't pay close attention to what I was being told at the time.
It was a friendly show and I was asked to judge a few times back in the days. Never did though. I think that a few of Koz's customers did though.

Nice show. Not too big and no giants. A lot like a ZNA regional chapter show.
Good to see someone breath some life into it. And good to see it is still in good relations with the Sakai FF family line. Best, JR

We see this Rinyukai as partly Shinkokai and ZNA, like a combination of those two. About the historical of the Rinyukai itself, we are also waiting the material from Japan as we want to print it and publish it to people.

I see you've been through with this hobby for a longggg time already, JR.

Looks like it will be a premier event/destination for koi hobbyist not only in the region but from around the world. Great to see the hobby with benefactors such as Felix, Hendrawan and David to spread the joy and passion.

Best wishes on the start of the club and much success for the show Handy.

    Good Day Brother Handy

It's been a long long hibernation as usual . Guess we are all caught up with work . As usual , you not gonna miss me at your show Brother Handy , and as arranged with brother Felix , WE WILL BE THERE !!!

Brother Max is doing up all the paper arrangement with KIKI and I will be sending up some of my fishes together with the hobbyists here from Singapore . Your 2nd NHA GC ( Handy Sanke ) will be sent to you for this show , and get ready to receive her for your pond . She will be send to you as PROMISED . I was glad she took the 2nd NHA GC title , and at least it showed both you and I had the patience to nuture her into one GC . Trust me , She will put up a good fight there for you and the 1st Rinyukai Indonesia Show . I'm fine tunning her on her Beni and Shiroji and by June , she will appear much better and bigger than last year when she took the 2nd NHA GC title ... . Lots of big contender coming for the show, especially after the 5th Asia Koi Show to be held in Taiwan in April . The AJKS 2012 Grand Champion Show is sold to our Chinese friend and will be making her debut in the 5th Asia Koi Show , and thereafter , I believe she will be heading for your show .

Take good care Brother Handy , and keep in touch even if you choose to hibernate !!!

    David
