    An ORP meter might help....

    Does the PH seem a little low to you? I always feel more comfortable to find it in the low 7's.

    NO3= 25mg
    NO2=0,0mg
    PO4=2,0mg
    KH=2
    NH4/NH3=0,0mg
    PH=6,5

    On a side note. There was an article in my local area news paper about the water in my area. Apparently there are lots of organics in the water. People have been complaining about the smell and taste. The water contains something called Geosmin and MIB (2-Methyl-iso-Borneol). The council has been trying to clean the water with activated carbon.

    How does one measure organics in water?

    Hi Dick, i prefer not to get too focused on the PH.

    With the soft water in my area the PH is going to swing. It is a bit low but there is not much i can do. The low KH levels causes the PH to swing.

    I keep my eye on the GH and KH but to keep the water buffered at high enough levels would be very challenging. I do add bicarbonated soda to the water too buffer it up when i get concerned.
