Lovely setting and Joel has done a first rate job at creating a Japanese style dealer/breeder facility.
I don't mean to probe into Joel's personal life, but I thought he retired to Hawaii? Is he still in Washington in Hawaii? JR

    salt?

Thanks for posting the video of Joel's Pan Intercorp Koi facility.

I noticed the bags of salt and it reminded me of a presentation Joel gave (many years ago) at an A.K.C.A. Seminar where he said he used (seemed like a high amount) of salt in his holding ponds.

Is it correct to assume that he still uses around 3 pounds per 100 gallon?

If my memory is correct... I think Joel said as high as 6 lb. per 100 gallons.

Wonderful video! As for salt, 3lbs per 100 gives you a %.03. I use a entire bag(40lbs) per 1,000 gallons for new fish (%.04).

I did not know Joel had a breeding facility for longfins. That is very interesting!
