On advice, I added in OTC. Koi seems stable. Hope she will recover soon.

    An update on my Chagoi.

After 1 week of OTC treatment with salt and warmer water to help the nervous system as suggested by Dr Fuad (Vet), she responded. Her mouth was moving slightly. Then I started to feed her a little on OTC powder coated pellets.

On 2nd week, I stopped OTC but continued to maintain .02% salt. Her mouth was moving a bit more.

Now she is much better. Although her mouth does not close entirely she is eating freely. I will keep her in the FT and hopefully we have full recovery.

So I hope this episode will give others who may have same problem in the future a protocol to follow.

    Cheers

    Dan,

    Fishman Chemical, LLC

3 grams per 100 gallons for long term hospital environment stays between 5 to 10 days long treatment.

This also very good with the same dosage and length of treatment. It helps stimulate tissue regrowth too. It is even safer than OTC and milder on the koi.

You can use them as bath treatments. Call Dr. Fishman and he will tell you dosage and time length for bath treatment. You will need to remove bio and bind ammonia with an ammonia binder. The main website is Fishman Chemical, LLC. Good place to buy your chemicals in bulk for people like us with multiple large ponds and QT's.
