    Wireless digital thermostat

My Oregon Scientific sensor finally died after several years of service. Time for a replace. What brand/model do you use?

This is the one I have and it comes with a secondary probe with the transmitter that sends the temp to the in door receiver.
For some reason it won't let the pic show up. It is a Lacrosse unit and the model # is highlighted in red.

Do a search of model #, not very pricey 20-30$

I picked up a pool wireless unit by Accurite this morning at Home Depot pool department for $29. The large sensor/transmitter can float in the back of the skimmer and is too large to go down the 3" pipe to the filter pit. YEA!!! The sensor has a large display of the current temp and smaller displays of the previous max and min it has seen.

The receiver unit displays the current temp, pervious max and min temps, and a trend chart of the temp changes. There is also an alarm if the temp goes below 40F.

So far, so good. With the cold wave we had over the last week and the new shower in operation....the pond temp was 51F. With air temps rising this week, I hope the pond will be closer to 60F by next weekend.

I hoped for 60F water by the weekend. Today at 4pm it hit 61F. Without a working wireless thermostat I forgotten just how fast a pond can warm. Time to do blend in some high protein food.
