I am so very happy to report that the one survivor, the Mother is improving and even swam over to me early this morning as I sat near the ponds edge. She has been resting most of the weekend, occasionally swimming a few laps. My spirits are lifting and it appears hers as well! She does have 5 large fancy gold fish to keep her company and they have been swimming with her and seemingly nurturing her recovery. I do plan to restock, however, will wait until she is fully recovered and with expert advice from the local KOI breeders. I live in an area in Southern California called Thousand Oaks, in Ventura County. I see that many of you are all over the nation and across the "big pond" as well. Great to have met you all and again, thank you so much for the terrific advice. I did soak some of the KOI food and presented about 12 soaked pellets to her this morning with some Spirula flakes; she wasn't ready yet to eat, so the goldfish consumed the offering....
