In Patrick's videos of airlift, you may have wondered what those odd-looking slanted pieces of screens are doing in the sump. In fact, they are sieve filters. Pretty interesting. In fact, I'm excited learning of it thru Koiquestion:

The reversed sieve, craftsmanship from our southern neighbours | KoiQuestion

With this setup, it seems, I won't be needing drum filters. Who knows, I may not need the filter brushes anymore. Then I'd need to study more on k1 media and its use in static and moving bed filters, and use them in the space for the filter brush chamber.

And if this can tackle fines filtration adequately, I may go into testing anoxic filtration.

This certainly opens up a lot of opportunities for improvement.

Thank Engel for sharing on this in Koiquestion.
