Ray, why are they limiting the area of entrants?

I believe that one reason for limiting entrants for this first show is they have a limited number of show tanks this first year. Also they need to encourage their local members that are doing all the work to show their koi and get involved. I am confidant that their first show will be a huge success and will be expanded going forward. At present there are only two koi shows, (San Antonio and Dallas) in a huge geographical area that includes Texas, Louisiana Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi. It will be great to have a show in Baton Rouge which is within reasonable driving distance from the states mentioned above. Also the Baton Rouge/New Orleans area are great places to visit and enjoy which will add to the attraction. I am sure that anyone that is willing to help them with their first show or even just attends will be greatly appreicated. I am told the LSU tower show is well worth the visit by itself.
Disclosure:These opinions are based on my experience and conversations with persons I consider accomplished koi keepers and do not reflect the viewpoint of any organization.
