Smile

If the fish is large enough gently lift the scale and cut the hikui off you may see a jello like substance gently scrape it off and put some antiseptic. Make sure you leave at least 25% of the scale and it should grow back. Worth the try a friend of mine from Taiwan told me this a few weeks ago. I have not tried it yet but I will. Any thing closer to the base of the scale may be useless. Though I would pass this on .

Sorry i forgot to say that the pics I saw do not look like hikui to me ether. My previous post was ment for a raised growth on scales.

I cannot tell you by the picture if you have a hukui problem, but you can always use a propolis solution that you can find on the market. The propolis help the cicatrisation and has an antibiotic-like action, you can use it on all skin problems.

Good luck

The reason I thought it is hikui is that I have 2 Sakai hiroshima sanke started up witht simimar thing on the head, and turned into big time hikui.
