    Wink TheKoiAuction.com GOES LIVE!

Introducing Our New Online Koi Auction

    THEKOIAUCTION.COM

    Dear hobbyist,

We are extremely pleased to announce that after many months of development, our online koi auction will go live today at 5pm EST (10pm UK time) and will be ready for bidding from that time on. You are witnessing a seminal moment in koi history with the first truly international marketplace for Japanese nishikigoi.

We would like to formally invite you to access the auction site at:

    http://www.thekoiauction.com

and sign up for your free bidders account at your earliest convenience. We would encourage you though to visit the auction site as early as possible in order to register and beat the rush. You won't want to miss this first batch of koi going on the auction block by our 4 founding member dealers.

Quality Nishikigoi will be put up for auction by:

    • Koi by Keirin - Pennsylvania, USA
    • Yume Koi - Bristol, England
    • Genki Nishikigoi - San Jose, CA USA
    • Oregon Koi Gardens - Oregon, USA

A starting lineup featuring koi from the portfolios of distinguished koi dealers as these is more than enough to catch the attention of anyone seriously into koi. If we've piqued your interest in our new online auction, then what are you waiting for? Visit us and sign up for your free account and start bidding today! We're looking forward to your first visit.

    Very interesting Brian.

But apart from hobbyists from those countries listed in the registration column, others from other countries cannot register, am I right? I'll only be an on-looker then!

    Hi Kiky,

If you'd like to be more than just an onlooker, you should encourage your local dealers to take part! I'm sure that we could change a bit of the code to allow for the Rupiah.

    I'll try Brian, I'll try.

But it will be difficult. You know, most of us Indonesian prefer to be passive viewers instead of active participants. We are computer/internet-shy, even big numbers own computers and have internet connection.

    Brian,

Do you control (or have input into) the site design? If so could you add fields for breeder, age, size, and sex (if known) for each koi auction?

Yes I do, and have the latter 3 already set, but can't get them to display properly. Will go through the code and try to sort it soon.

Thumbs up Video added to Yamatoya Sanke Auction!

    Just an update folks...

Mike Snaden of Yume Koi has added video to his auction of a stunning Yamatoya Sanke. You can view the auction at:

    http://www.thekoiauction.com/index.php?a=1002&b=66

If you're interested in bidding, then by all means take a peek! Video can tell you things that pictures can't.
