Chris, I can see why you've not been to visit today, you've been playing in that barn!

    Looking good.

Wow Eclipsar..... How fast was their growth and did you end up losing any during your first spawning?.....

    Hi Maurice

Got up early on Sunday to come and visit, thought I would check the weather to see if i could put any horses out, they say there is going to to be 2"-3" of snow! in Devon, seeing as we are about a 1,000 feet above see level, if its going to snow it always snows here. Can you beleive it but there was only a few flakes not enough to cover the ground so a bit pi__ed off to say the least. So thought i would play in the barn for something to do. Will give you a bell later in the week.

    Regards
    Chris

    Hi adreamer2

Growth was not as fast as I would have liked because i was not set up for the spawning so no heater or filtration, saying that i also had to put up a pond for them as well. Now i have learned alot with this spawning so when I get another spawning i will have a idea of what to do.

Would of liked to have had the pond heated from the start this would have helped the growth alot.

Lost a fair few from various tries at trying to suck water out of the pond before filtration then lost a few more when i set up the filtration, but finally got that sorted.

Now I have been culling them down, there is about 100 left, still have to cull a few more but they are getting harder to catch now they are getting bigger.

    Regards
    Chris

    Hi Mike

As you say they are mainly mutts, but have a couple of Kohakus I like, fingers crossed they turn in to something. But i have learned a lot from this spawning, so the next one I will be ready for.

    Regards
    Chris
