    Word of the day Sanshoku

Ok word of the day... I skipped the weekend because of Akinosan and his pond but will now only do this on the weekdays.

PS I am on Vacation this week FlyFishing and when I go into town to check my emails will try to post the word of the day or maybe Aquitori will hold this part up for me?

I was fishing editor for the Robinson newspapers for 16 years. I love flyfishing.
My brother Mike is often published in Flyfishing northwest. His last trip he was catching kamloops close to 30 pounds! yes on a fly! Hope your having fun as well!

the word of the day denotes 3 colors. Like a showa or sanke. the difference being the era it was developed. Showa for example is discribed as a black koi with red and white highlights. Sanke as white with red and black highlights.
Again the difference is the era developed.

It's a sport started in the UK ( thanks to the house of Hardy) that involves
a special line that by it's weight and taper carries an artificial lure made out of
brightly colored feathers , and called a fly. Trout-salmon-steelhead are sought
thru out the world many of which are caught and released again to fight another day. One of my greatest joys is creating or tying the flies during the winter season to be used during the summer months.

the rods that go with this sport can be one or two handed. i love the two handed ones called Spey rods. It involves a very special technique and was
conceived in the area of the river Spey. A style of fly was also started and
is named after the river. The technique's worth is that it allows the caster a chance to deliever the fly without room for a backcast.
