Good to see what's happening down under. How do you keep them now that it is winter?

looks like that tosai has promise. Most of mine this year have lots of kindai blood in them and are quite light in comparison.

The temperature in Sydney is not that low. The pond these guys has not gone below 12C. Most of the time it stays around 15C. We dont feed them much and on colder days, not at all.

The guys further south and in Perth tell me they have been down to 1C. I dont know if anyone uses heatung in winter.

Hi Tewa

Thanks for the compliment on this years culls. Thats a few thousand babies down to 8. This is my first year with Showa. These guys grow so slow compared to anything I have done in the past.

The Australian Koi Forum is down. It has been for 24 hours. When it is back up, I will look to move it to another host.

Pond heating, I dont think anyone in Sydney does it. I might try it next year to extend the growing season a little.
