    Hi Aquitori

I really hope it's fun, but it sounds great. I'm getting excited thinking and preparing for it.

I haven't heard or read about any pictures being available. Maybe Kevan can tell us? I'll take pictures of it all, as well as tape it on the video (if I get around to doing it in all the excitement). I'll show them here afterwards. Do y'all like pictures
Kevan, do you have to bring your own boxes to transport your koi?

    Thanks Kevan

I knew about Dainichi and Omosako, but the others I didn't know. Didn't Yukio Omachi come over with Mano san a few years ago?

Do you know if Kentaro will attend the extravaganza?

    Hi Guys,

I'll be there for a look in the late morning, but that day is my clubs meeting day so I won't be stopping.

Some years back the Barn did post pics of the Extravaganza koi on their website, so maybe it might happen again.

Don't worry about your number. The past winners haven't been at the front yet. So far the winners fall into two categories, 1. Members of my club and 2. A man called Julian Reed who I believe has won it twice.

I like this competition because if focuses on Koi Keeping, i.e. being able to pick a koi, look after it and develop it.

    Good luck to you all.

    Hi Regenmeneer,

Yes, in the past several breeders have attended, including Futoshi Mano (twice), Kentaro Sakai (also twice), Ryuki Narita, and Toshio Sakai. Toshi was interviewed by Johan Leurs and the article appeared in the NVN mag.

I'll ask around to see if any are attending this year and let you know.

Kevan, I have a pony tail and the guy with me has red hair. See you there.

Wow, sounds like the NFL draft. 5 minutes will go so fast. Not much time to bowl. Remember, confirmation big spindle shaped ladies before 4 step males. LOL Stick with your first choice with the best shiroji, don't second yourself out of the GC. After that at 12:30 an auction and then bonsai tour outside. This gentleman is quite the promoter. I can here it now.... "Mr. Regenmeneer, you have 5 min. on the clock", " Mr. R selects the three step cherry red kohaku from Sakai" as the audience explodes into a cheer.
    Good picking

    lol king kong

another breeder that was a regular was mr Nakayama of the Ogawa koi farm, but i dont think the barn stocks Ogawa koi these days?
i interviewed him once about breeding koi, selecting parents etc,

i dont think any breeders will be there this year because they are usually involved in the judging and as far as i know there is no mention so far of any breeders involved in the judging.

i hope they post pics too...

    Hi

    And the crowd goes wild!

Bern, Kingkong and Kevan, thanks for your reply.

I really hope I can pick the right one, but 5 min isn't very long, so I hope to get a good look at them before it's my turn.

I guess I'm really koi kichi now. Never been to England before, and now I'm going there to select koi

    Hi

As of yet there are no pictures, at least not on the site of KWB. I'll take some when I'm there and will try to post them here.
