Joe, Sakai - san had a good year this year so I think you'll find a wonderful selection.

all my koi kichi's are going about a week after you to be at one of his customer auctions.

spent all day with a new scots pine, pruning and wiring. Am wore out. Will be my best pine yet. Will pot it this march in my new tokoname pot personally autographed by the artist.

am anxious to see some japan pics posted on our board!

I am going to look at his perty koi... If I find then I will look into buying.. The trip is mainly to just go and see and support breeder friends and say hello. If I find a nice sanke or showa and or AKA matsuba.. Then I could drop some coin.

Yes repotting season has begun on the bonsai. Wife looked at a coastal live oak of ours that she did a root layering and its coming along.
Today it got a haircut. It will get repotted in January.. Going to Bonsai show tomorrow again. Had 3 bonsai shows in a row!

3 more days and off to the homeland..
It's a living creature (chit happens)

Don't know about the weather and typhoons, but it's there's been spotty raining. Went to quite a few places today, but a lot of the breeders are out harvesting. So far, we went to Sekiguchi and saw some very nice pearl scale ginrin kohaku and showa tosai. Then went to Isa Maryo, then to Torazo, then to Jirosuke, then to Suda. We were able to see a ikeage from Naritasans personal mud pond also. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
