    Birdman:

How far into the water does your rock edging go for your koi pond and does your pond have any stone in it or just 45 mil liner??

It's just a liner, no rock in the pond. The flagstone edging is 2 to 3 inches thick and hangs over the water just a bit, just enough to hid the liner.

Rowly, my new pond will be about 5,000 gals. About 9 feet wide by 16 feet long, 6 to 7 feet deep. I also live in a desert inviroment so hopefully the hummidity will be no problem. I will not be using a liner, concrete block with sani tred.

Rowly, Here's the basic design. It will be changed a little because of rock we hit 4 feet down. But basicly it will be about 18 feet long with a 4 to 5 foot radius at each end. It will be 6 to 7 feet deep. Some where around 5,000 gal.

Steve....it's going to be a good size indeed... in sq/ft of surface area and water volume....any idea on your evaporation loss per week....do you plan on a waterfall and streambed????

What size of addition to house this work of art and type of filtration do you plan to use???????

    Curious Minds!!!!!!!!
