If you've seen my posts these last few months, then you KNOW that I fully understand. Koi keeping is difficult no matter how you slice it, and we are always one mistake away from a wipeout. It has happened to the best and biggest breeders and hobbyists in the world...so don't beat yourself up over it. The key is to get past it and realize there will be great times focused on koi in the future...Its what makes our hobby worth the effort. Enjoy finding your next new and beautiful living jewel!!!

Tony, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved pets. You're one of the best, but that does not mean that you can't still make a mistake. You're human - and you'll find a way to make sure it never happens again. Grieve for the ones you lost, and cherish the ones that remain.

I wish you well - keep us advised of your progress with the mud pond.

    The challenges,...

Hi Aquitori, I'm sorry to hear of your hardship! Take some deep breaths, I know you'll be back soon strong, and full of your great Koi energy.

    Best to you,

    Antoino,

I can't say much more than all the good people on here have already said, other than sh!t happens, and the concequences can be a killer! But we're still here and tomorrows a new day.
I would guess that all the fish lost weren't all yours as I know the "Unit" is very gracious about conditioning, or adding girth, etc, etc, etc to a fellow keepers fish, and you guys take fish in to help each other out, but I hope that all involved understand that accidents will, and do happen!

    Best regards Chris & Fran~

Really saddens me to hear what happened to your koi family. Been there and got over it eventually. Hope you can do the same and join us again in enjoying our great hobby.

You're surely missed, so don't forget about us all!!!!

I too understand exactly how you've been feeling about this. I've done more things wrong over the past many years than I care to think about. Yes, it will take a long time to recover and will be a slow process, but you will endure. I know your passion for this hobby and the friends you have won't let you wallow in sorrow for too long. I'm pulling for you and hope this won't set you back too far. I still have that Dainichi showa you like so much and if you're still interested, it's yours. Just let me know.

    Regards for a speedy recovery

    Mike
