    Administering Clove Oil.....

I have a fish that lost an eye.... It got caught in the pump... It's been in the tank for a while and has never ventured near the pump before, but he did....

    It is a black moor....

I was thinking about putting him to sleep....

How should I go about administering clove oil....

I was going to put him in the fridge so that he will go without pain....

2-3 drops per liter will anesthetize him. Don't guess you have to worry about an overdose.

Why bother ? A one eyed goldie can live fine..
It's a black moore ? Name it Sammy Davis Jr.

    Dreamer:

I agree with Douglazzzzzzzzzzzzzz. As to the name, I think it's very appropriate because of the eye loss and not the color... Let that little guy live, who knows, it might be the oldest fish you own 10 years from now...

those turtles are cute when they are still small.. but the bigger they get the more aggressive they become! Beware of your fingers then! In a small lake where I often go fishing are a few of those turtles people have thrown in. A not so small baitfish I use for catching pike gets eaten in no time!

    good luck

ps: If she s adamant in having a turtle, take a landturtle they are not aggressive and easier to keep, and they become very very old!

thanks for the info. Her teacher has a small green turtle in their class room. My daughter just love it and want to have one at home for the last few months. Don't know any store selling turtle in the SF Bay Area....
