    Cheap Digital Thermometer

Here's a neat item I thought I would share with you. It's a battery operated digital thermometer/clock I got at the auto parts store for $12. It has a remote self sticking sensor that is water proof. It's designed to be mounted near the grill in a car. I stuck the sensor half way down on the side of my fluid bed filter. Works great.

No, an independant. But I bet any auto parts store and probably even Wally World would have them.

Thinking out of the box... or water.

Have a drawer full of various thermometers include lasers but the most accurate measurement location for me was the SC (or in my case the Nexus) because it has water coming in straight from the BD. I just use a cheap Acu-Rite model that has a sensor that sticks on a window. I stick it on the OUTSIDE of the chamber and it is as reliable as anything I have tried. Of course, it has to be out of the sun and weather... like a filter pit or room.

Come on guys, if you want cheap I got one for you.

I use the digital aquarium thermometer that has a 3' cord with a sensor on the end. The sensor goes into the bio chamber of the nexus and the thermometer is mounted on the top rim of the nexus. For $5, it's a steal.

I need to go get a pic of it for y'all.
