I don't think that it would be a problem. Just take it REAL EASY with the quantity. Weather is starting to get back to normal in NorCal and that means water temps are on the way back to 50 or slightly above. During normal winters here, I feed all the way til January. I stop for 2-3 weeks and then start back up with once every other day and no more than they can eat in 3-5 minutes. Remember, your bio filter isn't up to processing much. Someone (Iforget who it was now) once said, "you don't feed your fish, you feed your filter". No truer words were ever spoken.

I agree with Mike, if they will eat then feed them but take it easy on the quantity.

I am feeding everyday, just smaller quantities as well. My water temps are below 50.

    Hey Russell and Mike,

Its funny the different answers you get when you ask at what temps one should stop feeding their koi. I gave my advice that it is okay to feed under 50 degrees, so long as the koi are willing to eat and was pretty much called a moron at another parish. I'm just glad to see someone else doing it, I feel validated now!

Would you rather be cold and hungry or just cold? E.S.
