PSKoi - adventures at Koi Health Seminar

HAAYY, ya'll! I'm here at the U of GA for the Koi Health Seminar. Registration starts at 12:30, then classes begin. I'm really excited to be here. 2 of the speakers that many of you know of are doctors Vicky Vaughn and Erik Johnson. Can't wait to get started!!

when traveling, try not to do this...

sleepily miss your offramp to long-term parking for the airport

leave lap-top computer on the shuttle from long-term parking to the airport

have a 3 hour lay-over in Charlotte, NC

have lay-over delayed for another hour & a half

get lost trying to find the venue/hotel

    Yup...I would NOT recommend this

    oh, yeah, forgot one...

get on the late, late commuter plane to Athens (40 year old beechcraft 1900D turbo-prop with 20 seats), and after the aggressive guy standing and giving you the 'bend over and kiss your a** goodbye speech finishes, ask 'isn't this how scary movies start??' Especially when it turns out that he is the pilot...

    keepin' it simple...

Friday was spent on water quality and parameters. Absolutely the first and foremost of Koi husbandry.

The UGA professor Dr. Jay Shelton was concerned that some of us would be disinterested. For me, that was the best way to dive in. A diverse subject, with many opinions, but the prevelant opinion is...large water volume, large filtration, lots of circulation and a plentitude of AERATION!
