Thnx for the kind comments I agree, Val is doing a fantastic job. She says "her detail work" hasn't really started yet. Her detailed paintings and drawings that I have seen are truly remarkable...Some parts are already very clear even close up, others not as much...

She is using oil paint. The whole thing, including the floor, will be sealed at the end. One can see the sealed portion of the floor and where it isn't sealed yet in the pix I posted. If I really do add the door into the house, it would go right through the temple. Not sure I will have the cajones to ask her to repaint it on the door if we did that, but she has already said she would. She is having so much fun, she keeps adding things...The floor part of the mural will now extend to the raised part of the pond and have a cobblestone walkway around the painted pond filled with some favorite koi of the past, ours and not ours like the Dainichi Showa All Japan GC.. On a different wall will be Shila reaching over into the pond feeding the koi as in a picture I took of her in Isawa a few years ago.. Cool stuff, but I am a little biased.
    Best regards,

    Bob Winkler

My opinions are my best interpretation of my experiences. They are not set in stone as I intend to always be a student of life. And Koi.

There is a chance we may be near that area next month,. Will have to look for it's location relative to where we will be. We have two free days looking for something to do....probably try and find it

I just returned home from Bob's Dream Pond party. Wow, what a day. Lots of excitement as well as people. Bob had RSVP from 250 I think.

I did take a lot of pics.....I think anyway....uh, my computer keeps flashing a warning message to me now....says something about 'your virtual memory' is low or compromised or some BS and it sure won't let me work on the pics.

Any computer techs out there who can advise...otherwise I am gonna try something myself, and that is a dangerous thought
