My most recent addition. Jumbo tosai at 32cm. What do you think....quality? Male or Female?
    Thanks! All input appreciated!

I cannot answer your questions from the photo, but it looks pretty good. What stands out is the equi-distant separation of the 4 steps. This is not common, but when it occurs the result is a lack of visual rhythm... the fish becomes boring. Yours, however, is actually enhanced IMO by having the Hi spread over the face a bit more than we usually like to see. As it grows larger, I think this will give the face character. An interesting fish for tosai... the sashi etc shows a lot of development on the way.

I really like it, I like the evenness of the pattern.

be patient with this koi as it develops. 4 steps and 2 scale sashi will make this koi a while in finishing. Quessing male, but hard to judge from photo. I think if most were honest, we'd all love to have a nice kohaku like that in our ponds........hope it turns out to be a lady....keep us informed.
