The Soragoi is truly a lovely fish - Jesus took her out of his spring-fed, huge mudpond just a week before. He posted pictures of what she looked like right out of the mud and she looked darn good - then improved over the week. She (and Jesus) won the IKONA Friendship Award, both for the koi and in recognition of Jesus' dedication to the hobby, and his tireless work to make the OKC Show so special.

Some people pictures......run Papabear!!!

Here was Carsten removing some koi after proper acclimating of the bag. He had just released his prize Sanke (baby champion). Sorry I did not get the gentleman's name who was helping.

Michael K. and Carsten P. after some hard work of releasing koi. Michael looked like he worked all night long getting things ready. Thank you for all your hard work and that of Ken, Larry, Jesus and Harry too and all the rest of your club who spent time cooking and perparing for this show.

Tom and Jennifer W. who showed up with some real awesome koi. They had a great time and were most helpful. Even got in a few "shameless plugs" for the show they are going to put on, the first weekend in June in Colleyville, Texas. Next to the Pond Store and Antiques Mall location.

Ken R. along with Larry I. Dan C. enjoying a well deserved chat.

Some guy who talked funny and Michael placing the big Yamabuki in the tank to acclimate. Oh it's Tim W.

Here is another funny talking dude when it was time to bench. Matt from Infiltration in the UK, & Michael.

Some good clean pictures.

If only the camera was a bit faster...this is about 3 seconds after Matt fully soaked Michael's head. I guess it's a British thing to do, for a reward helping while benching.

Gene S. and Ken R., Gene looking to make sure there was room on the trophy for them to put his name again........

The judges conversing on friday evening.

Harry's bonsi....

A nice patio umbrella the was given to the lady from The Real MckKoi.

Back to the Judges & Koi......

The judges needed a little bit of help, so some light was put on the subject.

For doing such a good job judging the judges were give some nice parting gifts.

Tim W. presenting Dan and Gene with the Grand Champion trophy.

One of the Down's great Sanke's.

Dan and Gene's Asagi and Shiro.

Dan and Gene's Kohaku and "Nigel" Sanke.

Some of Carsten's awesome koi.

Carsten's Shiro.

More of Carsten's koi.

Tom & Jennifers Ochiba.

Some of my kids.

And a whole bunch of pictures that were out of focus, with rippled water and with way to hot of spots from the lights.

Just a few to add

I'm glad you got so many good pictures. None of my shots of Mac's came out, and you got a much better shot of Jesus' Soragoi than I did
Here are a few I had to toss in just because Chuck and Kimberly Downs Showa and Sanke were kind enough to give me a few good angles. Especially the Showa who has a face to die for
The picture really doesn't do it justice, but the Sumi on the facial Hi plate is very artistic.
