Tuesday: Insert & inflate air bladders to seal off both bottom drains. Cut lines from bottom drains to vortex. Cut top & bottom suction lines from vortex. Splice in temp suction line to draw water directly from pond. Cut & put temp cap on waste line. Remove vortex. Dig the settlement chamber down to 4 1/2 feet. Prepare to pour cement slab for Cetus to sit on.

Wednesday: Pour Cetus slab. Build form for settlement chamber pour. Build wire mesh cage for form. Dig out underneath the bottom drain lines all the way back to the pond's outer wall at the 4 1/2' level; stub them off; attach 45's; run new pipe level with the bottom of the settlement chamber. Connect new flush to waste line. Set supports for the Clarity slab span. Tie all the TPR and bottom drain air lines back and out of the way. Dump gravel in prep for concrete pour tomorrow. No waste line = no water change. Koi did not appreciate being put on short rations. Thank God, Breda hasn't been out and seen the mess!

excellent ! Looking at the quality of the dismantle work, I can tell the job will be more than well done.

I wonnder how 'large' the Clarity unit will look in a pond setting. I want to install one if it really works.

    keep the photos coming.

    Hello Michael . . .

They got here at 6:50 this morning instead of their usual 7:15 -- probably because today is concrete pour day.

Will have lots of pix to post.

Don, enoying your thread very much. Very creative and very interesting. This technique of using a bladder inline, should work well for finding and isolating leaks in drain lines, I think? Where can I get some of those bladders for shutting off bottom drains one at a time to target a bad pipe line? Thanks in advance for your input.. JR

    Hey, Nancy . . .

I was able to find someone with some very reasonable handbags and matching luggage for sale.

They come in 1 size and 1 color.

How many ya want me to reserve for you?
