I have a 5 gal bucket of ST. I figured there will still be some in it when then bury me. To dechlor ~1500 gallons, I usually start with 12-15 crystals and then watch the ORP meter. At the most I add another 5 crystals. Only add enough to keep nuke the chlorine and keep the ORP stable.

Adding so little has nothing to do with being cheap (me) as the chemical is very inexpensive. And it has nothing to do with fearing for overdosing...almost impossible with ST. It has to do with the basic philosophy of doing as little to the pond as possible. No bottle bacteria, tree oil, or other additives. I don't want a chemistry experiment for a pond.
Koi keeping is not a belief system; it is applied science with a touch of artistry.

MC you have a unique way of measuring your STS, however most should test their chlorine and treat accordingly. I do use quite a bit more than you do and don't understand how an ORP meter would help you determine the correct amount of dechlorinator, please enlighten me.

ST is very cheap when bought in dry form in bulk. Available at Aquatic Eco-Systems.

Here is a simple guide I have used since Norm gave it to me 15 yrs ago. Depending where you buy it from average cost is around 2-3.00 per pound and can make you about 4 gallons of solution per pound.

    Recipe:
Make a solution consisting of 4 ounces (1/4 lb) Sodium Thiosulfate crystals (photo or technical grade) dissolved in 1 gallon of distilled or deionized water. Use 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of the solution for each 10 gallons of makeup water to neutralize up to 3.75 ppm chlorine. One cup can be used for each 500 gallons. (The entire one gallon of solution will treat about 7500 gallons of tap water.) The shelf life of the solution is about six months when stored in a cool location. The crystals will keep for several years if kept dry.

Ethan I have ST I use in all my tanks if I'm doing small changes---but, just to be on the safe side(I probably wouldn't have to-but,) I use PondPrime from Drs.Foster and Smith on my ponds and in the tanks when I do large changes.....It treats somthing like 40,000 gallons and runs about $40..It takes care of chlorine and chloramine.
