    Raganwald, is that PVC?

I saw a similar structure on some personal website one time that was constructed of PVC slid over top rebar pounded into the ground.

    How big is that pond?

Mine is 18 x 15, so not sure if something like that will hold up.

The cover is 6 mil greenhouse poly, the supports are standard electrical conduit slid over rebar just as you say. The conduit comes in different diameters, I'm sure if you use one of the bigger diameters and space them every two feet it will be very, very strong and will easily span 15 feet. You want it to be no less than 8 feet tall at the peak so that snow slides off properly.

What zone is that in? I'm in zone 5. Does it keep ice from forming? What's the pond like in the dead of winter?

Did you use screws to hold the conduit to the couplers? So they can be disassembled?
