I'm sure there is supposed to be something profound about this, but other than reviewing the same genetic fundamentals we studied as High School students I fail to find any new revelations here.

Yerrag the politics was on years past and threads long forgotten.

And Larry, seriously, welcome back, the wars are over. I really just posted this link for information purposes and would probably just title it Fish Genetics Manual nowdays. This manual is a very thorough coverage of the basics of genetics and fish genetics in particular. As a Missouri boy I can only envy the thoroughness of Oklahoma high school science. I graduated in 1969 (oh yeah class of ’69) so since PCR wasn’t discovered until 1983 you youngsters have the advantage there. Rob

Well I got my edumacation in California too long ago to qualify for "youngster", but plotting genetic traits, genotypes, phenotypes, etc... predates both of our births by just a wee bit. We were doing that in Freshman Ag class for livestock breeding and it was old hat long before that.
