It finally hit me. The surreal electoral experience in the US. The unlikely clinching of the Republican nomination by Donald Trump, and the expected rigged candidacy of Hillary Clinton over an inspiring Bernie Sanders.
I was willing to vote for Donald Trump, but as the news gets more vicious and damning, I'm not only having second thoughts, but I simply wished we would have seen this drama unfold right from the start
Hillary is so powerful I liken her to a scheming dowager empress. She knows to pull the right strings, and knows her arsenal of carrots and sticks. And she knows to play the end-game so well she should have a yearly guaranteed spot at the World Poker Championships, where she will revel in swatting all the prickly wannabees. The next saga of Game of Thrones may well be based on her true to life exploits.
First she squashes Bernie Sanders by hook and by crook, as revealed by hackers in how she and her DNC establishment cohorts rigged the entire nomination process.
During this time, she and her media allies, media including new media such as Google and Facebook, on the sly catalyzed the growing strength of Donald Trump's candidacy, enabling him to be the Republican standard bearer for the presidency. All the while, they have already compiled damning tapes of him - for later use as the campaign nears the last mile-month.
The RNC (Republican National Committee) was and is as clueless as ever, and had no choice but to accept The Donald as their candidate. But Donald is an unknown quantity, and Hillary isn't, (she being a closet Republican, and Republicans being closet Democrats).
And so the plot of Republican leaders came to be - to both overtly and covertly support Hillary. Overtly, some leading Republican figures endorsed Clinton over Trump. Covertly, the Republican Party worked in tandem with the Democratic Party, with the cooperation of mainstream media, to minimize any forthcoming leaks regarding Clinton's imprudent and criminal use and deletion of her private emails. Nowhere is this more evident than in FBI Director James Comey's refusal to press any charges against Hillary. No surprise here- Comey is a Republican.
When Julian Assange revealed the contents of Hillary's sycophantic speech to Wall Street banksters in a fund-raising dinner, showing her duplicity and insincerity of her Bernie-speak, the news cycle was blindsided by the revelation that Trump was a nasty, filthy good for nothing as he talked with Billy Bush about how he would treat a woman Roger Ailes-style.
Trump had no chance- right from the get go.
So, it will be Hillary. She will be the president of the United States. and of the world as well (Desiderata). All hail Hillary! Everything is well.
Civilization progresses at full speed. Damn the torpedoes. Let's build greater monuments in her honor, the Wall be damned! And take that, Donald!
Let the federal reserve, too big to fail banks, big pharma, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, and Monsanto lock arms as brothers and sisters and sing kumbaya!
- Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.
