well, I may be a little different on this one kid- if you know what you want to do, you don't necessarily need college for a successful career. College is not for everyone and often a way to waste parent's money while drinking lots of beer!
In a perfect world everyone should go to college. But that is not real life for many people. It is amazing to see the very successful people who did not go to college. In fact, college held them back if they went for a year or two before following their passion. So if your passion leads you in another direction and you don't give up that dream you will do well financially ( college grads make $17,000 more than high school grads right out of school and significantly more five years later) - and more important- be happy.
Others go into the military or just work for a year or two until they know better what their dreams are. These are very personal and individual decisions- but they are YOUR decisions. Take your parent’s advise and that of trusted, important teachers and other respected adults in your life- but most important- listen to that little voice inside YOU.

JR = two undergraduate degrees and two Grad degrees and use none of them. But I have to admit, I’m a learning junkie! I loved school and would have gone for the rest of my life if I wasn't so worried about starving to death!!

Hey eric, just out of curiosity, what colleges do you plan on applying to? Ahhh these few months are going to be hell with all the college applications, school, etc. Can't wait til it's all over.

Get a degree. Easier now than later.
Choose your major for interest, not starting salary.

I have a MBA.

I will never drink alcohol in my life, or do any harmful drug that is not ment for medication. You may doubt me but I think I may live a longer natural life if I dont, and I'll be more healthier too!
