Outside Where to take it when you just can't be civil anymore...for threads that have become a little "too much" for our regular koi forum.

Open letter to koi and watergarden board admins and mods.

Please stop the madness! Recently I’ve been contacted by quite few folks that have had their personal information shared by board admins and mods and then it was posted publicly without consent and in clear violation of their own user agreement. It’s your duty as a trusted admin or mod of the web forum community to protect personal information of your board users at all times, even if you don’t like them…I repeat…even if you don’t like them. We are moderators and admins, not gods. We are not above our board’s own user agreement. We should not hold peoples personal information above their heads and use it as a weapon to inflict pain and embarrassment on the people that come to our boards. That is not what this hobby is about and it’s not what being an admin or moderator is about. I pledge right now to the users of Koi-Bito that their information is safe with me as it always has been. I hope the admins and mods of the other koi AND watergarden sites will make similar pledges on their boards. For those of you wondering what forum I’m talking about I’ll tell you it wasn’t this one and I doubt that its any of the ones that will make a similar pledges on their board. And no it isn’t Newts either as their user agreement and posting policies clearly state that you are posting at your own risk…(thank you Newt for being honest and giving fair warning).
