A one year warranty isn't much when dealing with Mother Nature. Over 80% of my business is rebuilding improperly built ponds and it can very easily take longer than one year for an improperly built and circulated system to turn bad. After that the conditions get blamed on improper maintenance and customer ignorance. I have also rebuilt several that turned bad after only 6 months or so but most take a little longer to show their ugly side. Mother Natures "balance" can be instantaneous or slow and torturous and after all everything that happens in a pond is a "balance" of some type. It may not be the "balance" you had in mind though.

Kent,

Good point... and certainly when you consider that most of these ponds are intially stocked with tosai, the issue really only comes to light as the koi mature (best they can). The exponential increase in waste production of mature koi require more and more effort to maintain this "balance", yes?

Kind Regards,
Bill

Actually, Bill, they have posted some of it. Not the important details, of course -- just some of their spin-doctored stuff.

Oh, and Nancy's been banned. They're talking slander, libel, lawyers, taking her house -- and her fish, too -- if she doesn't stop shining the light on their dark little corner of the hobby. It's like a proper little ant hill that's been pizzed on.

And Hot Air Hockey Puck is pulling out all the stops! He's gone into full battle mode: He's encouraging his friends to emulate him in writing letters to the powers that be to bring pressure against her. Oooh la, la . . . that oughta just about do it.

Well I don't know about that, Graham. There's . . . and . . .

OK, maybe you're correct.

Hey, I heard you've been muzzled over there? Wouldn't know 'cause it's all done behind closed doors, by invitation only.

That's right: No lurkers allowed into the R&G sanctum sanctorum where the six of you do daily battle.

Hi Don it's the same old stuff............the ace reporter cutting and pasting and then replying to the pastes as if he was actually on whatever board he stole them from...it's really very sad.

When he starts tearing hobbyists and the hobby apart, all for that personal agenda of his, because he really knows nothing about the hobby or could he care less about it; that's when I start to pick on him...it's really a lot of fun, the guy just leaves himself wide open for it.

Now he'll cut and paste this one and reply to it...problem is that, ace whined so bad to Pondmom, poor little boy...that I was picking on him and saying hell too much that she locked me out for 48 hours, so he gets free shot....

G

have fun ace

Actually, Larry, it works like this.

1. Anyone can read threads on the Open Forum.
2. Only registered users can view threads in the Koi Information and Koi Industry Forums.
3. Only registered users who apply to join, and are approved by management, are allowed to view threads in the top-secret Debate Usergroup Forum. Think there's only 6 or 7 users at that level, so it's sort of like the limited gene pool to be found in some of Appalachia's more remote hollers now that Graham's been excluded.

Threads which get 'heated' get 'quarantined' by being bumped up from one level to the next -- which means that fewer and fewer folks can view them. Which is fine by me. Hey, that's what the guys following the elephants down Main Street have to sweep up, too.

Koi pond and streams builds very nice ponds. I have narrowed my pond build to them. Frank was able to email me many ponds he has built and has even agreed to come to LV to build it for me.

As far as research goes, I have contacted some IPPCA members in regards to a pond build but felt they were not knowledgable in building a "Koi Pond". If someone from that association can't tell you the difference between Kohaku and Sanke I would stay away from them. Anyways, Frank great looking pond. I can only imagine the great work my 25,000 gal pond will look like after Franks has started on it.

Cheers to all,
Todd
