Sorry for my ignorant. When did the 'new generation' of gold-fish 'started' ?

It has been 40+ years since I kept my last FG. I don't recall seeing any G with back bent like these ?

Nice pictures

Really nice pictures of these fish. Wow!

Some people complain about the problems and issues these fish have, but most is caused by water quality issues. (If you think about it, there are some really strangely shaped fish out in the ocean.) Using some water changes with the type of water filters with reverse osmosis diminishes the problems greatly. However, I'm going more and more for the common body types myself, simply because it is less to worry about.

You think these fish are hard to keep healthy and happy - try the Siamese fighting fish, they need distilled water to keep them happy - as in buy it by the gallon at the store. Or so I've heard.

I have tried keeping Siamese Fighting fish, and I've given up on them. They cannot take hard water at all.
