A few thoughts re: this doitsu goi.

1. The few scales appear to be gin rin.
2. The skin does not appear to be metallic.
3. The pattern does not appear to be wrapped or longitudinal, so I'd have to say dorsal patterned.

My guess: gin rin doitsu ochiba shigure.

Mike,
I can not see signs/evidences of Ochiba' blood in the fish...
We can find a blackish line in main bone of dorsal fin and tail fin among Asagi, Soragoi and Ochiba....

Nancy, it can be called "Doitu Ginrin 黄白(=Yellow White)".....I don't know how they pronounce that' Kanji (^^;;;
it would be Kishiro, Kihaku, Ouhaku, etc....

the right one was bred by Hiroi / Niigata.

While it does seem to have commonality with either a Lemon Hariwake or Lemon Ochiba (and I can definitely say I'd never heard of one until now...) I can confidently say that it dang sure ain't any kind of Kigoi. (Which part of yellow all over more than anywhere else did they not understand)
It does appear to have some lateral patterning, but I don't know if that would tip the scale as to definition...

Sorry Mike, you don't get the door prize. This is noit from Marusei and it is not the same color as the platinum Doistu Chagoi he has. I cant remember what those are called either. It is from Jirosuke. Keep reading and you shall be enlightened.
