I have a POS in the backyard right now. It has a yellow kanoko body with kanoko bekko patterning. I going to call it a "Kanoko Kigoi Bekko". I'M the by god breeder of this critter and I have the absolute right to call it Kigoi somethinorother if I want to. (I'm stamping my feet for emphasis even as I type...)

So THERE
Hi Larry,

I think that is what Jirosuke would say as well.

Nancy and Antonio, this thread would not have been possible without you but I think your time would have been better spent doing something else besides worrying what I call a Koi. Thank you for playing into it.

JR,

I want to thank you for your patience and all of the valuable information. I hope you won't hold this against me as we all learned something from this thread.

Russ you give us to much credit, this thread would not have been posible, if you had not called it the wrong variety, and if someone who is trying to learn had not asked my opinion.

I was at dinner last night with Andy Moo, Ken Tran, Joe Co, Hung Tran, I took the liberty of showing them the pics of the koi and the thread, they all agree it is a friggin Doitsu Ochiba, but what would the 4 of them know, they are like the rest of us here on bito, we are all wrong and you are the only one who is right. Amazing is'nt it..

As for my time, well it is just that my time .

This sounds like the classic discussion between science and religion. Good luck converting the religious.

Yes, you are quite right.......hybridization / crossbreeding.

....and it's not easy for me to imagine what he (the breeder) is dreaming from these combinations except the last one(koyo x koyo).

Hey I see the moron known as Dark Lord, is trying to play dueling banjos with me by posting a rebuttal regarding albinism in animals. He has gone to google to search for reptile genetics as I suggested. He did exactly as I suggested on NI but took the material for snakes literially. And then searched albino and got info on humans and mammals. Idiot. This is yet another example as to why that board will never amount to anything.
At any rated, his post was emailed to me by one of his pals.

The dark lord should stick to hawking cheap electronic equipment and not take on Science- even armed with a google search engine.
The complete lack of color in the albino trait is in hair shaft and fur shaft. So amelanistic is the condition in the skin of lower forms. The complete absense of color, as in Leucism, is yet another condition in which the eye is typically melanin rich but the skin is devoid of all color making the fish white.
The guy is an absolute idiot. JR
