since "they" have never built such a plane how can you say it's better, when the Boeing refueler now in service has gone 2 decades past it's replacement date.

There is nothing better than to have american airman refueling american fighters from an american Built ( not assembled ) aircraft, especially in this day and age of economic woes

Having flown on both Boeing planes and Airbus - Airbus is nothing but a rickety bucket of bolts. I truly thought the thing would crash before we got to our destination. The wings were rusty, and the rivets were popping out on the wings. This was a fairly new plane, too!

Boeing is quality, hands down.

Hmmm.............................
It seems things are still shaking up on this issue.
It would appear that the airbus is too bulky, slow, and has such poor maneuverability that using it for a re-fueler may be a functional no-go... I guess someone forgot to check that particular little detail out before accepting their bid and the whole thing is back up for grabs

I'd vote for Mr. Magoo, even if he was a demoplican or republocrat.

I was a hopin' for Ron Paul, but no such luck.

Yes, Mr. Bush has been a disappointment in some ways, too ready to compromise imho. War in Iraq for this long??? WWII was shorter. Too much PC and not enough kick butt. Go in, root out, go home. Collateral damage? Clean house and collaterals will move outa the way. Harbour enemy combatants in a mosque or even a school, blow it away one time and it'll stop. Nobody wants thier kids at risk and nobody will allow another school to be a hiding place. Terrorist bombs a place, find the family, friends and supporters and take them right out. Next terrorist won;t get so much support. American observer in EVERY schoolroom, no more teaching "hate Americans." Yes, Bush disappoints. yet, we have not had another attack on our soil since 9-11.

Make our military jets in the EU? Our uniforms in China? I can;t agree with that. Boeing made the BUFF (Big Ugly Flyin' um...er, Fella) aka B-52. Some close to fifty years old and will be in service another fifty, how you gonna do better than THAT? I met a pilot at an air show, flying the same BUFF his dad flew.

I grew up in Japan, got many, many Japanese friends. How did that happen? Fat Man and Little Boy. Collateral damage? You betcha and a lot of it. End result, koi hobby in America. Should we apologize??? My kid comes home from school one day, high school in Texas, Alvin, Texas, of all places and tells me, "My teacher says we need to apologize to the Japanese for the atomic bomb." I was livid. I love Japan, I love the Japanese people, studied Japanese culture and love it too. But, I have no need to make any apologies and I went right up to see the principal and give him a piece of my mind. No more "revisonists historians" telling my kid assinine stuff.
