yep the admixture is calculated as to the amount of free lime ...i think they only used 1.5lbs per 80(?)lbs bag of stucco mix..that did not include the sand..that 1.5lbs could have been as high as 2.flbs...but after covering the whole lake and the vortex island and both sodes and ends of the raceway there was some left over.

What did you use to make the bond between your stucco and the pvc/abs pipes, bottom drains, etc. I keep hearing about people using some type of epoxy but what exactly is being used?

Don't know if you are the right person to ask this question to, Luke. But hey, it keeps this thread bumped.

When Luke started using Xypex, I talked to him about it, went to the website and emailed them. They sent me a contractor's name near me that I contacted. They were a little skeptical that it would work in a pond application but were more than willing to sell me the materials. No strings attached.

I still plan on contacting them next year when I'm ready to start my pond.

they just stuccoed upto the pipei used nothing... where the pvc pipes go through the wall it used to leak enough to grow algae but not puddle...most of those don't even grow algae anymore...I haven't really looked..it never leaked enough to think it would be an issue
this is with 2 and 4 inch diameter pvc pipe

Question for Luke cement floor

Hi Luke i was wondering when you built your pond did you add xypex to the concrete when you poured your floor and how thick did you pour it? 4''or 6'' or did you pour a footing first then the floor I'm getting ready to pour the floor, not to sure how thick to pour it if 4 '' is enough.
Thanks Mark
